Dragnet"The story you are about to see is true. The names have been changed to protect the innocent."
We have had lots of rainy days in Los Angeles in the past month. So, rainy day = no yard work = DVD rentals. Ive used this down time to watch some shows, that I wouldnt normally watch, to collect some screen captures. Here is one of those.
Dragnet, the TV show (top), was just one of hundreds of times that the Los Angeles City Hall has been used as a filming location. Its not possible, obviously, to duplicate the angle of the city hall as seen in the grab because of all the bigger buildings that currently surround it.

Goodbye Martin JMartin J works the karaoke machine a couple of nights a week at Amagis on Sunset at Gower Gulch.

I met him, oh, well...um...I was going out with Pat at the time, so like...I dunno...6 years ago?

Pat introduced me to the drunk world of karaoke. He got me up there onstage after filling me with booze and after that we became regulars. Many, many Saturday nights were spent at that bar and on that stage at that crappy sushi place.

And Martin J was their the whole time.

I still see Martin at the Starbucks next to Amagis where he is a regular and where I pass by on my way somewhere or way back from somewhere for lunch, and we always shake hands and chat.

He still sees Pat, who just got married. And he tells me, "Pat always speaks highly of you."

And that always makes me feel good.

Thanks Martin.

BillyCobra Commanders son and trained by Stornshadow and Jinx as a Ninja. He later joined the army before returning to help Snake Eyes and Kamakure try to rescue the once again enslaved Stormshadow from the grips of the new brainwave scanner.

If you are a fan of the G.I.Joe comic than you have probably been wnating a figure of Billy for a long time. I know I have. I tried to figure out a way to make one and finally succeeded. Technically his eyepatch is on the wrong side but this head had the scars below the left eye so I chose to put it there. This figure is based on the Devils Due design for billy. I am pretty satisfied with him and will probably take more photos of him soon.

Water Wheel, Upper Mill, CarshaltonLondon Borough of Sutton. A mill has existed near this location since medieval times and it was sometimes known as the Town Mill. It was mainly used for grinding wheat and malt. In AD 1200, 4 marks sterling were paid to John Comyn for a lease on this mill. (Prof. Michael Wilks: The Book of Carshalton, At the Source of the Wandle). Many other mills appeared along the river Wandle, later producing snuff, gunpowder, copper, paper and other products. "During the last half of the 18th C and into the first quarter of the 19th C, the Wandle Valley was one of the most heavily industrialised areas in Britain". (George Blake: History of the Paper Mill and late BP Chemicals site at Mill Lane Carshalton).

"Come Back To Me"ok so yes i have watched atonement (amazing movie by the way). So i had to do a war picture for my task 1 round 2 of Miss Starless Beauty forums.sims2community.com/showthread.php?t=52223%26page...

This pic is so Film Noir/ Femme Fatal inpired. And a little Atonement inspired.

The male in the picture is my wanna be Kevin Rose sim minus his usual stubble (that isnt turning out like i wanted to)

im very impressed with the hair didnt take as long as you would think only about 15 min or so.

And when i was making this my GIMP crashed and i hadnt saved it. Thankfully i took a screen capture and took what i could get (which was smaller version of the original picture)

I can go on and on, on how much i love this picture so much! The red accents makes Jackie stand out and my Kevin looks so handsome! Dont get me started on Jackies hair because I love it.
I feel so proud! (ive showed like everyone i know , and when i showed my parents they brought up the tablet discussion again and yes I HAVE A TABLET NOW WOOOT! its a Wacom 4x6 intuos 3 and its amazing. )

Made with :
Sims 2 (Background in game with vintage effect) (sims poses all in game none of it edited ; took me like an hour to get them like that and get them looking at each other at the perfect time)

Also made with:
GIMP 2.4

ChildhoodSometimes you have to get in touch with your inner child. Evidently, mine is a four year-old girl. Actually, it was an Idea that started when I saw a photogenic cupcake in the grocery store but didnt want to simply take a picture of a cupcake. I purchased the apple juice and looked around my bedroom for props that would compliment the cupcake. Of course, the fact that I own the pony and D.W. book most likely brings us full circle to the first two sentences.
