1 Hundred Enjoyed Bottles of Winemy familys cork collection nearly obscures light from entering the 2/3 of the basement window weve stacked them on ;) ever since i can remember weve done this.... even before we moved to this house 10 years ago i thing we still had done this.


what i love about this is within the stack of hundreds, is the marking of good times my parents shared. They were a bottle at Christmas eve, or a wedding aniversary, a good thing to come home to after a hard day of work, or a bad bottle that was directly poured down the sink after half a glass... these memories of mine where i can remember a glass of wine in my moms hand reside in the stain on the bottoms of the corks, stacking newer memories on top of the old, the older, and the long ago corks on this window sill <3

not quite ready....Robinson Lake Vineyard...spent a few days in the Lake County wine country. These are Chardonay grapes i believe...or savignon blanc..i dont know they all look alike to me. Did a LOT of wine tasting. all amazingly yummy. What can i say the weather was warm the wines were chilled and i had a wonderful little vacation. I will return to visit later as i (sigh...) have to go to work. Thank for your patience with me...
